Sports facilities help promote the importance of teamwork, develop strong communities, and attract industry.  By helping to construct and expand some of the area’s largest sports complexes, All Florida Electric has done its part to stimulate Gainesville’s community spirit.

Baseball Locker Room & Lemerand Center Renovation

Project Overview:

The expansion of the UF Baseball Stadium and training facilities includes an expanded concourse, indoor pitching and batting areas, locker room, and equipment areas.  The renovation of the 5,500-square-foot facility was completed in 2006 and is LEED certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Heavener Football Complex at UF

Project Overview:

The Heavener Football Complex is platinum-certified from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building rating system—the highest ranking available.  It was the first building in Florida, the first educational institution in the southeast, and the first athletic facility in the United States to achieve platinum status.  The building is a three-story, 66,650-square-foot renovation and expansion that includes a fitness center, reception area with multi-media displays of university football history, a recruit visiting area, and coaching staff offices.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Expansion

Project Overview:

The 183,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium includes 3,000 additional seats at the club level, 60 private skyboxes, concessions, and a catering kitchen.  Renovations also include the expansion of the television and radio media facilities and relocation of the underground utilities.
